Global Ports Holding has been offered a concession to manage, operate and maintain the Port Authority of Zadar’s new passenger terminal at Port Gaženica in Croatia for the next 20 years.

Built by Strabag, the two-storey terminal has been under construction since September 2016 and will be able to handle both local and international ferry traffic, as well as homeporting, day call and turnaround operations from cruise ships. The building work is expected to be completed this spring, and the terminal will become operational soon after.

As part of its 20-year concession, Global Ports Holding will be responsible for providing all passenger shipping-related services at the terminal and port. The final agreement is expected to be signed within the next 12 months if both parties agree on their terms.
