Grandeur for Navantia

Grandeur for Navantia

By Michele Witthaus |

Following the recent revitalisation work undertaken on Splendour of the Seas, Navantia yard has revealed that it will take reception of the Grandeur of the Seas for a drydock lasting almost a month in May 2012.

This is the second ship that Navantia will handle to implement the line’s Royal Advantage programme. The drydock, which will last from 3 - 29 May, will involve similar works to those carried out recently on sister ship Splendour of the Seas. Works scheduled include blasting, painting, piping, improvements to propulsion systems, rudder, bow propeller, anchors and chains, as well as various repairs in the engine room.
