Gudbrandsdalens Uldvarefabrik (GU) was established in 1887 in Lillehammer, Norway. The textile mill provides upholstery fabrics for use onboard ships, combining the latest technology with the firm’s expertise to meet all design and technical specifications for the marine environment.

Fabrics from GU meet required fire and safety standards, including the International Maritime Organization’s A652 (16) and the Steering Wheel (approved according to Marine Equipment Directive by Det Norske Veritas). These fabrics are used on furniture in public and crew areas on cruise ships and are known for their quality and durability. The firm’s designs are available in standard collections which are held in stock, as well as custom-made colours and designs.
