Holland America Line is return to Bermuda after adding six Boston, US, roundtrips to its 2015 itinerary programme.
Offered in May, June and July onboard the line’s 1,350-guest Veendam, the seven-day roundtrips enable guests to spend three nights in Hamilton, Bermuda’s town centre. The vessel will depart Bermuda in the afternoon of the final day in Hamilton, with a day at sea before arriving back at Boston.
Guests can visit various cultural heritage sites, such as the 19th-century neo-Gothic cathedral and the Georgian-style Sessions House built in 1815. Passengers can also visit beaches and walk to the town’s Front Street to explore its shops and restaurants.
“We know our guests will be excited to see us cruise again to Bermuda in 2015,” said Richard Meadows, HAL’s executive vice president of sales, marketing and guest relations. “By extending the call to three nights, guests can have extensive time to experience the island while still enjoying the award-wining service and amenities that HAL is known for.”
Veendam’s seven-day Bermuda itineraries can be combined with a seven-day Canada/New England cruise to create a 14-day ‘Bermuda & Canada/New England Collectors’ Voyage’. The full Collectors’ cruise calls at Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Sydney and Halifax, Nova Scotia; Bar Harbor, Maine; Boston; and Hamilton. The ship will also sail in the Gulf of St Lawrence.
Alternatively, the Bermuda cruise can be combined with a 17-day Panama Canal transit to create a 24-day ‘Panama Canal and Bermuda Collectors’ Voyage’. The ship departs San Diego, California and calls at Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Colombia and the US ports of Fort Lauderdale in Florida and Boston. She will also visit Hamilton and sail a full transit of the Panama Canal.
