Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and airline Emirates have partnered to provide travellers with combined luxury cruise and air travel experiences from the 2026-2027 season. The air-sea packages will be available for travellers sailing on Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ 500-guest ship Europa 2 and its expedition ships, Hanseatic Inspiration and Hanseatic Spirit.

The two companies hope to create special air fares and dedicated cabin capacity for the packages, which will be aligned to cruise seasonality and demand. They will also work to align global cruise itineraries with the Emirates’ route network and flight schedules.

“We’re eager to start our partnership with Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and are confident that we have the right approach in place to deliver a premium, consistent and seamless sea-air journey for our cruise customers,” said Adnan Kazim, deputy president and chief commercial officer at Emirates. “In Hapag-Lloyd Cruises, we also have a partner that shares our commitment to curating unique and personalised travel experiences for discerning travellers, which is aligned with our efforts to offer our customers high-quality, award-winning service and best-in-class products.”

Both brands will jointly develop and promote the air-sea packages in key markets to target premium customer segments and upscale trade partners. They will also share relevant data and insights to enhance service excellence and explore opportunities to integrate luxury guest services in destinations including the Indian Ocean Islands, Africa, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand.

“It is a great privilege to have a partner who shares our deep understanding of luxury and who values the exclusive, personal travel experience in the most remote corners of the world just as much as we do,” said Corinna Fritsch, director flight and ground operation services at Hapag-Lloyd Cruises. “We’re confident that our well-travelled and discerning guests will truly appreciate this and benefit from the offering.”
