The team at Cruise & Ferry would like to wish readers a happy and peaceful holiday period and a prosperous 2020.
It’s been a busy 12 months for us, as we published a total of four magazines this year. Alongside the two issues of the flagship magazine, International Cruise & Ferry Review, we also brought you the newly redesigned Cruise & Ferry Interiors and Cruise & Ferry Itinerary Planning. We hope you’ve had as much fun reading them as we did when putting them together.
If you find a spare moment during the festive period, why not take a look at some of our highlights from 2019? Among the key cruise executives to have talked with us this year have been Richard Fain, who gave us an exclusive interview about what has made Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. a success over the last 50 years, while Arnold Donald described how a magical experience on a family cruise has helped him take guest experiences to new heights at Carnival Corporation.
You may also want to look back on our discussion of the opportunities and challenges facing the global ferry sector, the plans for growth at the Port of Galveston and how Studio DADO is taking Carnival Cruise Line in a new direction. And as we close out the year, you can read about some of the solutions keeping us all safe at sea, and how the Port of Dover is delivering an amazing cruise offering. Subscribe to read the full magazines.
Following such a great 2019, we’re especially looking forward to seeing the outcome of the first Ship of the Year Awards! There’s still time to get your nominations in before we close submissions on 31 December, so let us know which new ship raised the bar for you this year. We’ll be opening the voting on 24 January, before finally announcing the results in the Spring/Summer 2020 issue of ICFR.
Many thanks to all our readers and the organisations that have supported us in 2019. Here’s to an even better 2020!
