Managed communication services provider Harris CapRock Communications has launched a new cyber security solution for maritime, oil and gas companies.

SafePass Pro improves network resources, minimises malware and spyware and enables centralised control, enforces acceptable use and security policies and provides users with an opportunity to assess and eliminate network vulnerabilities. The solution also features the Alert Logic Threat Manager to provide network intrusion monitoring and detection facilities, as well as a vulnerability scanner and firewall protection to support URL and application filtering.

“Cruise companies see cyber security as a critical component to ensure reliable communications as connectivity becomes a growing element of both a great cruise experience and onboard revenue,” said Matt Broida, vice president of marketing and strategy at Harris CapRock. “SafePass Pro defends clients’ communications, monitors their network and provides preventive services which were previously limited to government agencies. In doing so, SafePass Pro addresses cyber concerns today and positions our customers to navigate future threats as well.”

Customers will also receive Harris CapRock’s 24/7 monitoring and support, and be able to work with Harris Corporation’s cyber security experts to pinpoint system vulnerabilities, monitor insider threats, proactively defend the network and respond to incidents.
