Hebridean Island Cruises’ Hebridean Princess is to offer 16 themed cruises and visit Lunga on the Treshnish Isles, and Stroma Island in Scotland for the first time in 2016.
Next year, guests can visit three different Michelin-starred restaurants as part of a food- and drink-themed ‘Flavours of Scotland’ cruise, or join whisky connoisseur and author Charles MacLean on a whisky-themed voyage. Other themed cruises will include the ‘Hebridean Symphony’, enabling guests to visit Fingal’s Cave on the Scottish isle of Staffa, which served as the inspiration for Felix Mendelssohn’s The Hebrides overture.
“Following on from the success of our ‘Footloose’ walking programme we decided to introduce a selection of other themed itineraries,” said Ken Charleson, COO of Hebridean Island Cruises. “The 2016 season sees the welcome return of the spring and autumn ‘surprise’ cruise, where our experienced captains decide the itinerary on a daily basis and will treat our passengers to some of their favourite destinations.”
Hebridean Princess will also leave Scottish waters to sail a ‘Northern Ireland Explorer’ voyage, which was developed in partnership with the National Trust. She will then sail to the Isle of Man calling at three UK ports.
Purpose-built to operate in Scotland’s Western Isles, Hebridean Princess can accommodate 50 guests in 30 cabins, ten of which are designed for single travellers.
