Shelf has a built-in digital screen so guests can learn more about the beers and ciders

Heineken Global Duty Free has introduced a new digital in-store display onboard Viking Line’s Cinderella to enable passengers to learn the story behind the beers and ciders on sale.
Installed in mid-January, the display unit showcases a range of premium craft beers and ciders. An interactive screen built into the shelf invites guests to pick up the bottles and, when they do, it plays a brand-specific video revealing the background story and tasting notes.
“Our research shows that shoppers are increasingly interested in the history and heritage of our brands and they are intrigued to discover beers from across the world. This interactive tool helps them to do just that,” said KoosVrijlandt, sales manager of Global Duty Free at Heineken. “We have a powerful, innovative platform here on Cinderella with a great portfolio, plus an in-store experience that engages, entertains and educates shoppers on the category. We are excited to share a vision with Viking Line that the future growth and performance potential of the beer category will be driven by shopper engagement experiences like this.”
