Holland America Line is to commemorate its 150th anniversary with two transatlantic crossings as well as other special events and activities.
To celebrate the milestone anniversary, which is on 18 April 2023, Holland America Line has arranged for newest ship Rotterdam to depart from Rotterdam in the Netherlands, on 15 October 2022 to recreate the line’s first sailing from Rotterdam to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. One highlight of the cruise will be a call at New York City, USA, on 26 October, when Holland America Line will host a special ceremony onboard the ship.
Holland America Line will also host a second transatlantic crossing on 4 April 2023, with Rotterdam departing from Fort Lauderdale and calling at New York City before travelling across the Atlantic Ocean for eight days. Rotterdam will receive a ‘grand welcome’ on its arrival at Rotterdam on 18 April.
The cruise line will organise historical menus, live activities and entertainment, special performances by guest artists, and lectures from historians for guests during these crossings.
