SES Networks is using a combination of fibre-like connectivity, fully managed end-to-end satellite services and comprehensive coverage over the world’s oceans to deliver better connectivity services onboard cruise ships.

The company’s Maritime+ solution delivers an onboard broadband service equivalent to that of terrestrial onshore fibre services, offering bandwidth speeds ranging from 100 megabytes per second to 1 gigabyte per second of dedicated capacity to a single cruise ship at any one time.

This enables cruise operators to meet guests’ demands for faster connectivity so they can stream high-definition movies, play online games, share real-time videos and photos on social media and more.

SES Networks has already delivered broadband and connectivity services to several cruise lines, including Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International and Dream Cruises.
