Hurtigruten has extended its Northern Lights Promise for 2015 and 2016.

This year, any guests who booked a 12-day Classic Round Voyage departure between October 2015 and February 2016, but did not see the Northern Lights, will be offered a free seven-day Classic Voyage North, or a six-day Classic Voyage South in an inside twin cabin departing between October 2016 and March 2017.

Guests booking a voyage departing in October, November and December 2015 will also benefit from complimentary flights from London Heathrow or Gatwick airports in the UK, plus wine or beer with their evening meals.

“Seeing the Northern Lights remains one of life’s truly incredible experiences and we are so convinced that a voyage with us is one of the best ways to see them, that we have put our money where our mouth is,” said Cecilia Abert, country dDirector UK & Ireland at Hurtigruten. “This winter our guests are not only benefiting from our unique Northern Lights Promise, but with flights and a wine or beer package included, there has never been a better time to go.”

Hurtigruten’s Classic Round Voyage takes guests along the Norwegian coastline from Bergen to Kirkenes, before turning back to Bergen. The ships sail through narrow waterways and fjords, visiting remote villages and towns, enabling guests to enjoy more than 50 activities such as sledging with huskies and sailing on a rib.

Onboard menus include local specialities from the various destinations and fresh produce sourced from small-scale, local suppliers.
