Norwegian operator Hurtigruten aims to have visited 526 travel agencies across the UK by the end of June to promote the opportunities to travel with Hurtigruten from regional airports.

The tour, which started in Birmingham, will focus on eight other key UK regional airports and the local agents within the area. These include Bournemouth, London Gatwick, Manchester, Norwich International, Newcastle International, Glasgow, East Midlands and Bristol.

Hurtigruten representatives are meeting with agents to provide them with merchandise to drive local bookings and regional charters. The merchandise includes posters, leaflets and the latest 2017-2018 winter brochure, which features the new Spitsbergen land-only trip and a variety of Northern Lights voyages.

“We recognise the value in engaging with regional agents and this roadshow will see us meet with almost a thousand individual agents from across the UK,” said Anthony Daniels, head of UK sales at Hurtigruten. “Not only will we educate them about what a Hurtigruten voyage can offer, but we will also make them aware of our great offers for customers including the unique Northern Lights Promise. We look forward to seeing the results of the roadshow and how we can strengthen our existing relationships with local agents.”
