Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas will debut in January 2024 with 14 Gebr. Heinemann travel retail shops onboard.
Gebr. Heinemann will offer passengers a ‘one-of-a-kind retail experience’ with shops located across four decks of Royal Caribbean International’s newest ship, which features a host of innovations.
The retail space onboard Icon of the Seas will introduce new elements such as customised displays and installations for the ship’s various shopping spaces, which will include areas for perfume and cosmetics; liquor, tobacco and confectionery; watches and jewellery; fashion apparel; accessories, and more.
“We are delighted that we can continue to extend our trusting partnership with Royal Caribbean, and we look forward to making Icon of the Seas a further flagship of our retail activities,” said Nicolas Hoeborn, managing director of Heinemann Americas, Inc. “We bring more than 140 years of logistics and retail management experience to the American cruise market, and we are dedicated to inspire passengers on the world’s largest luxury liner with our spectacular assortment and an unforgettable shopping experience.”
Icon of the Seas will be the fourth ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet to feature retail spaces created by Gebr. Heinemann. The company also currently operates onboard Wonder of the Seas, Odyssey of the Seas and Independence of the Seas.
