Two cruise ships are to make maiden calls at IJmuiden in Velsen, the Netherlands this September.
Marella Cruises’ Marella Discovery will berth at Felison Cruise Terminal on 2 September, arriving at 9am and departing at 7pm for Zeebrugge, Belgium. The ship will bring around 2,000 guests, who will be able to spend the day exploring IJmuiden and nearby attractions.
Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Explorer will bring around 750 passengers to IJmuiden during her inaugural visit on 13 September, arriving at 11am and departing at 8pm for Zeebrugge.
Both ships, their crew and their guests will be welcomed to IJmuiden by representatives from the cruise terminal, the Port of IJmuiden and Velsen’s mayor. Locals can watch the ships’ arrivals from the first-floor viewing terrace in the cruise terminal.
