Oceania Cruises’ newly refurbished Insignia is to sail to 57 UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 45 countries on five continents during a new 180-day roundtrip in January 2016.
Departing from Miami on 4 January, Insignia will sail for the Caribbean before visiting the South American ports of Trinidad and Tobago, French Guiana and Brazil. Insignia will then head to Africa to enable guests to call at ports in Angola, Namibia, South Africa and Mozambique, before sailing to Asia where guests will enjoy two-night stays in Rangoon, Myanmar, and Shanghai in China.
The vessel will then make Oceania Cruises’ maiden call at the Australian port of Cooktown to enable guests to visit the Great Barrier Reef and the Aboriginal community of Hopevale. Insignia will then cruise through Hawaii, calling at Los Angeles, before heading down the US west coast, through the Panama Canal and completing the journey in Miami on 1 July.
Guests will enjoy 14 overnights and visit a total of 92 ports of call during the voyage.
