Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Cruise Terminal welcomed three large ships from two different cruise lines at its two berths on 19 March, a first for the port.
Cunard’s Queen Anne and Queen Elizabeth stopped In Hong Kong alongside Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Norwegian Sky, with the three ships bringing over 10,000 passengers and crew members to the city. Queen Anne had arrived the day prior and stayed overnight, while Queen Elizabeth and Norwegian Sky arrived for transit calls at the port. Queen Anne and Norwegian Sky were also making their first visits to Hong Kong.
“ We are delighted to welcome in a single day three majestic ships from two lines, for homeport and transit calls, catering to different source market,” said Jeff Bent, managing director of the terminal’s operator, Worldwide Cruise Terminals. “It demonstrates the broad appeal of Hong Kong, as well as the efficiency and flexibility of the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal to handle multiple varied operations.”
Kai Tak Cruise Terminal is set to receive an increased number of cruise calls in 2025, including seven inaugural calls, three of which arrived in the first three months of the year. Astro Ocean’s Piano Land made its first visit in January, followed by Queen Anne and Norwegian Sky.
