Kristijan Pavić, deputy general manager of Dubrovnik Port Authority in Croatia, has been appointed as president of MedCruise.
Pavić, who has been the organisation’s senior vice president since 2014, succeeded outgoing president Carla Salvadό who represented the Port of Barcelona and has now taken a role at another MedCruise member port. A new executive will be appointed to represent the Port of Barcelona on the MedCruise Board of Directors.
“I am honoured to assume the presidency of this vibrant association, dedicated to working to achieve the sustainable and responsible growth of cruise activities in the Med and its adjoining seas,” said Pavić. “I would like to express my gratitude to Carla Salvadό for the leadership and her excellent work throughout her presidency, and I look forward to work with a devoted family of more than 100 cruise ports and 35 associates in order to continue the same successful strategies.”
During his time at Dubrovnik Port Authority and MedCruise, Pavić has been involved in cruise destination management, initiatives to enhance cooperation between ports and cities, and the development of partner relations between cruise market participants, especially in the Adriatic region.
