Royal Caribbean International’s Liberty of the Seas is to feature new dining options, water slides, a children-only area and updated staterooms when she emerges from a month-long drydock in February 2016.

The 3,634-guest ship will be fitted with a Flowrider surf simulator and Splashaway Bay, an interactive water park designed exclusively for toddlers and young children. The aqua park has twisting slides, a multi-platform jungle gym, water cannons and more.

Other new top-deck attractions include The Perfect Storm, which features two racer slides named Cyclone and Typhoon, as well as Tidal Wave, the first-ever boomerang-style slide at sea. The slide features a steep drop that propels riders up a near-vertical wall for a moment of weightlessness and into free fall.

New dining venues include modern Mexican restaurant Sabor and Italian trattoria Giovanni’s Table. Guests will also be able to visit R Bar, a 1960s-themed cocktail bar.

The ship will also offer 53 additional staterooms including 26 Panoramic Ocean View staterooms with floor-to-ceiling glass walls.

Liberty of the Seas will sail seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries every Sunday from Galveston in Texas, US from November 2015. The ship will visit various Caribbean destinations including Belize City, Belize; Cozumel and Puerto Costa Maya in Mexico; Falmouth and Montego Bay in Jamaica; George Town, Grand Cayman; and Roatan, Honduras.
