Lindblad Expeditions is to resume cruise operations with sailings to Alaska and the Galapagos Islands in June.
“Our internal team has spent the last year examining every single aspect of our operation to be prepared to operate in the new normal,” said Sven Lindblad, CEO of Lindblad Expeditions. “Led by our resident medical expert, Dr David Lorber, we have enlisted the assistance of many health and safety experts and met with authorities in the regions we intend to explore to ensure we are welcome and meet or exceed their expectations.”
National Geographic Endeavour II will sail a 10-day itinerary around the Galapagos archipelago, with the first departure on 4 June. Meanwhile, National Geographic Quest and National Geographic Venture will offer seven- and eight-day itineraries in Alaska, with their first departures on 5 June and 6 June.
The cruise line will require all guests over 16 years of age to be vaccinated before travelling onboard. Other health and safety protocols will include a requirement for two negative Covid-19 tests, daily guest temperature checks and enhanced sanitation procedures.
