Incat Crowther has delivered a 32 m catamaran ferry to Thailand-based operator Lomprayah High Speed Ferries.

Maehaad is the sixth vessel Incat has designed for the Thai operator and is modelled on the line’s 29 m catamarans Thongslah and Koh Prab.

As part of its full production design package, Incat delivered all major structures and major fit-out components including exhaust and air conditioning. Incat also provided 3D structure and systems design, which included all piping and components.

Built by Dolphin Chumphon Marine in Thailand, Maehaad features a large kiosk and bar, luggage racks and various seating areas.

The 453-passenger ship also has a plum stem hull structure and is powered by two MTU 16V2000 M72 main engines, delivering enhanced fuel economy and improved engine life.

While the vessel has a service speed of 25 knots and operates below 65% maximum continuous revolution in a fully loaded condition, she can reach speeds in excess of 32 knots.
