London’s cruise terminal Enderby Wharf has become a member of the Cruise Europe association, cementing its position as a global cruise destination.

Designed in partnership with the cruise industry and the Port of London Authority, the London Cruise Port is located close to the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site on the River Thames. Planning permission was granted last year and construction is to be completed over the next two years, enabling the international terminal to become fully operational at the start of the 2016 cruise season.

The terminal will be served by a fixed 75 m double linkspan pier, which will accommodate one 240 m cruise ship and two commuter vessels operated by Thames Clippers.

“Enderby Wharf is ideally located for passengers to embark and disembark as either transit or turnaround visitors given the design of the terminal and the vast array of attractions in such close proximity to the facility,” said Katie O’Hara, chair of Cruise Britain and CEO of London Cruise Port.

The project is managed by Enderby Riverside, a company owned by Morgan Stanley Real Estate Investing and West Properties, which will also develop hotel and residential accommodation at Enderby Wharf.
