Marella Cruises has created three new venues for Marella Explorer 2, which will be the first ship in its fleet to be exclusively for adults when she debuts in spring 2019.

One of the new venues will be a clubhouse-style bar named 19th hole, which will feature golf buggy seating, two golf simulators, golf-themed cocktails and craft beers. Another will be prosecco and champagne bar Flutes, while the third will be The Beach Cove, which will serve barbeque-inspired dishes and offer an “on the beach al fresco dining feel”.

Marella Explorer 2 will also offer a new pizzeria-style restaurant that will provide made-to-order Italian pizzas, as well as a range of other dining and bar options, a Champneys spa and entertainment from ted.

“We are really pleased to share details of the three fantastic new venues for Marella Explorer 2, we’ve made sure there is something to take every adults fancy whether that’s enjoying a golf themed cocktail in the 19th Hole or sipping on some bubbles in Flutes,” said Chris Hackney, managing director of Marella Cruises. “We’re delighted customers have loved sailing on Marella Explorer and look forward to hearing about their experiences on Marella Explorer 2.”

Marella Cruises has also revealed its winter 2019 cruise programme, which includes three itineraries on Marella Explorer 2, which will be based in Bridgetown, Barbados and sail to Caribbean destinations like St Lucia, Aruba and St Vincent and The Grenadines. The new programme also includes three maiden ports of call – Panama’s Gatun Lake, Jamaica’s historic Port Royal and Samaná in the Dominican Republic.

Marella Cruises will also offer three new itineraries next winter. They will include two from Montego Bay in Jamaica – ‘Panama Canal Experience’ and ‘Secret Shores’ – on Marella Discovery 2, as well as an ‘Ancient Kingdoms’ itinerary that calls in Cyprus.

“Our winter 2019 programme offers guests amazing destinations and exotic new itineraries as we continue to offer customers more choice, flexibility and opportunities to visit some of the world’s best hidden secrets,” said Hackney.
