Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ Seven Seas Mariner reentered service on 7 April after a multi-million dollar refurbishment.

Highlights of the Seven Seas Mariner transformation include new furniture, upholstery, lighting and wall coverings in the ship’s Grand, Master, Mariner, Seven Seas, Horizons and Penthouse Suites.

Several of the ship’s public areas have also been updated, including the Stars Lounge, which has been redecorated; the Horizon Lounge, which has a new stone-fronted bar, furnishings, carpets and lighting; and the Mariner Lounge, which has been reconfigured with an ‘open space’ floor plan, a new bar, stone flooring, lamps and new tables. The Observation Lounge now has a back-lit bar and the refreshed décor, while the Canyon Ranch Spa received upgraded steam rooms, stone flooring and refurbished changing rooms. The Fitness Center was equipped with state-of-the-art exercise equipment.

In addition, the vessel’s two-deck high show theatre now features a new LED wall, as well as new carpets, upholstery, wall coverings, cocktail tables, wall sconces, banquettes and chairs to provide additional comfort for guests.

The line also refreshed the teak decking on the balconies of all 350 suites, as well as in various public areas, while the Pool Deck and outdoor areas were furnished with resort-style sofas, chairs and loungers. The Pool Grill and La Veranda also received new mosaic tiling, wall coverings, draperies, lighting and awnings.

“Regent Seven Seas Cruises sets the benchmark for luxury in the cruise industry and after witnessing the transformation on Seven Seas Mariner it’s clear we once again raised the bar,” said Kunal Kamlani, the line’s president. “This investment in our fleet underscores our commitment to providing our guests with the ultimate, ultra-inclusive experience on the most luxurious and stylish ships.”

Regent Seven Seas, which will launch Seven Seas Explorer in summer 2016, has recently completed a multi-million dollar internet upgrade, enabling it to offer passengers free wi-fi access across the fleet from November.

Seven Seas Voyager recently underwent a similar refurbishment, while Seven Seas Navigator was upgraded in 2012.
