Interior fit-out, refurbishment and joinery firm McCue Crafted Fit is to enter the cruise and ferry market fit-out market.

Established in 1954, McCue is headquartered near to Belfast in Northern Ireland and has a London office, enabling it to operate in the UK, Ireland and other European countries.

Boasting its own fully equipped 60,000 sq ft production facility in Carrickfergus, Ireland, McCue will offer a turnkey fit out service to global cruise lines, ferry operators and shipyards. It will offer products and services that comply with International Maritime Organization regulations and classification bodies.

“This is an area which has been on our radar for a number of years now and we are delighted to officially announce our entry to the maritime sector,” said Les McCracken, managing director of McCue.

Stephen Mills, McCue’s business development and marine manager, will leverage his 25 years’ of experience in the marine sector to help the company to successfully establish itself in the passenger shipping industry.

“McCue is a fantastic company, which over the years has produced an outstanding level of craftsmanship for high profile clients in very fast timescales,” said Mills, “I am confident it can adapt and meet the demands of the marine sector.”

This year, company representatives will visit several industry events to network with cruise line representatives, shipyards, interior designers, subcontractors and suppliers.
