TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 4 made her inaugural visit to the French city of Le Havre on 25 September.

To mark the occasion, representatives from the cruise port and other local authorities joined the ship’s captain, Todd Burgman, and crew for an onboard plaque exchange ceremony. The visitors then toured the ship, while the cruise passengers – mostly German – were able to visit the city’s tourist attractions.

Having welcomed around 110,000 German-speaking passengers in 2014, Le Havre is well equipped to cater for TUI’s German guests. Not only does the Cruise Terminal team offer brochures in German, the Cruise Welcome team has been trained to speak the language.
