Processing technology supplier Metso DNA is to provide integrated alarm, monitoring and control systems (IAMCS) for Royal Caribbean Cruises’ three new generation cruise ships.
Contracted by Germany’s Meyer Werft yard, Metso will supply each of the 167,000 gt ships with an IAMCS capable of producing 18,000 input/outputs in the machinery, air conditioning and emergency shutdown systems. The diesel electric power plant will also be managed by the system.
Metso previously supplied automation system components for Royal Caribbean’s Radiance class, Celebrity Cruises’ Solstice class and many more cruise projects at Meyer Werft.
