Turnkey refit firm Mivan has secured over £7.5 million of cruise ship outfitting orders for 2012, including Thomson Celebration, the first Thomson project for the company. A one-week refit is to take place at the end of October in Limassol, Cyprus, with other notable contracts including the refit of the existing Alexander Van Humboldt cruise ship, due to be renamed the MV Voyager, for All Leisure Group.

A busy year saw Mivan completing recent contracts on Crystal Symphony, Saga Sapphire and MV Horizon.

In February, the firm opened an office in Southampton, on the south coast of England, the new facility established as part of an ongoing agreement with P&O Cruises to provide onboard maintenance for their ships including Azura, Adonia, Ventura and Arcadia.

Mivan is exhibiting at the Seatrade Med Cruise and Superyacht Convention on 27-29 November this year, and will be positioned in the Superyacht Pavilion as part of the Northern Ireland Marine Industry Stand, which is organised by Invest Northern Ireland.

The company supplies a turnkey refit service to public areas and cabins aboard cruise and ferry vessels. With an in-house design, development and manufacturing facility in Northern Ireland, its project teams can operate across Australia, Bahamas, Far East and North America.
