MJC aims to find Jeddah ferry and marine infrastructure operator

Metro Jeddah Company (MJC) has started the pre-qualification process to find a contractor or consortia to design, build, supply, operate and maintain passenger vessels gruppo porno and marine structures and as part of a new £8 billion, city-wide public transport system for Jeddah in Saudi Arabi.

MJC welcomes applications from any ‘competent and experienced’ local and international contractors with a ‘proven track record’ in procuring, operating and maintaining passenger vessels, such as water taxis and ferries.

Applicants should also have a similar track record in designing and constructing marine infrastructures, as well as marine civil engineering works. The contract will cover quay walls, floating reinforced concrete pontoons with related passenger handling facilities and utility connections; access bridges, fender, bunkering and mooring systems; and limited dredging and breakwater components.

Pre-qualification documents can be downloaded here, or requested via this email address, and all applications must be submitted by 2 pm Arabic Standard Time (local Jeddah time) on 14 May 2015.

MJC reserves the right to cancel the pre-qualification at any time without any liability or legal responsibility to the potential pre-qualified contractors or consortia
