MSC Cruises has added Galveston, Texas, as its fourth home port in the USA, a milestone in the cruise line's ongoing US expansion.
MSC Seascape will be based in the Texan port year-round from 9 November 2025. The ship will offer sailings of seven-night itineraries departing on Sundays and visiting Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico and Isla de Roatan in Honduras.
“This announcement is the latest step in our strategy to continue to grow our US footprint,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises. “We are committed to bringing our newest, largest, most innovative ships to the USA and are pleased that MSC Seascape will be more easily accessible to guests in central and western parts of the U.S through Galveston, as well as to our guests internationally via the well-connected international airport hub of Houston.”
MSC Seascape was named in December 2022 in New York. The ship features 2,270 cabins in 12 different categories; 11 dining venues; 19 bars and lounges; six swimming pools; and a Robotron robotic arm ride.
