MSC Cruises has developed an new sports programme, and an interactive cooking classes designed with Michelin-starred chef Carlo Cracco for younger guests.
Aimed at children aged three to 17 years old, the DOREBRO sports programme has been developed in collaboration with UK-based company King’s Active and will be delivered by dedicated sports coaches. Children will be able to participate in various games and sport activities including football, basketball, baseball, handball and dodge ball during two daily sessions. Parents are invited to join in with family activities and competitions.
The DOREBRO sports programme is already available on seven ships in MSC Cruises fleet, and by the end of July will be available on a total of nine ships.
Meanwhile, the ‘DOREMI Chef by Carlo Cracco’ cooking class will debut this summer. Led by MSC Cruises chefs and the onboard MSC Cruises mascot DOREMI, children aged three to 11 will learn how to make homemade pasta and other dishes from scratch, and receive cooking hints and tips. Upon completion of the course, each child will receive an official mini-chef certificate signed by Carlo Cracco.
“As a family-owned company, from day one we have understood and focused on the importance of offering families and their kids onboard our ships a vacation that has all the elements that can make it a truly unforgettable one for the entire family, in addition to being stress-free,” said Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises. “For this reason, kids-dedicated activities and other family related services have always been at the very core of our guest offering and are strengthened on an ongoing basis by further additions – thus making this element of our offering one of the richest at sea.”
MSC Cruises long-term partner LEGO Group has recently launched a toy of MSC Meraviglia – the company's new cruise ship that launches in June 2017 – which will be sold in the onboard shops.
