MSC Cruises has revealed details of the entertainment available onboard MSC Virtuosa when she enters service with four cruises around the UK.
To celebrate the launch of the new ship, guests will be given a welcome cocktail on the promenade at the beginning of their cruise. There will also be a special menu for the gala night, featuring dishes from around the world.
Each night will feature multiple showings of one of MSC Cruises’ new theatre productions, with ‘Le Ciel de Paris’, ‘The Big Apple’ and ‘Capriccio’. Meanwhile, the Carousel Lounge will feature two new performance that include trio Soul Sisters singing Motown hits and nightly stand up from comedian Rikki Jay.
In total, guests will be able to take part in up to 210 activities each week, including poolside games, talent shows, dance nights, and silent discos. Themed nights will include White Party, Flower Glory Party and Space Party.
“MSC Virtuosa is the ship that just keeps on giving, so I couldn’t be more excited for guests to join these first four sailings and experience the celebratory treats we have specially curated for these maiden voyages,” said Antonio Paradiso, managing director of MSC Cruises UK and Ireland. “Onboard MSC Virtuosa, a one-of-a-kind entertainment offering awaits eager British holidaymakers, who have missed out on their favourite leisure activities over the last year, from live entertainment, to dancing and meals out.”
The entertainment programme has been specifically designed to ensure compliance with the cruise line’s health and safety protocol. Measures in place will include a limited number of guests for different activities, compulsory wearing of masks and deep cleaning of areas after each use.
MSC Virtuoso will sail from Southampton on 20 May for the first of her four cruises, followed by departures on 24 and 28 May and 1 June.
