MSC Cruises fourth Seaside-class ship, MSC Seascape, successfully completed its sea trials during a multi-day assessment from 17-20 August 2022.

The 169,400gt vessel was built by Fincantieri shipyard in Italy and will be the second in the Seaside EVO subclass.

“Seeing our new USA flagship achieve another major milestone on the way to delivery is incredibly exciting for all of us here at MSC Cruises,” said Rubén A. Rodríguez, president of MSC Cruises USA. “Guests love our ongoing commitment to bring the newest and most advanced ships to the USA because it gives them access to the very best cruising has to offer. MSC Seascape takes everything that’s fantastic about our Seaside-class ships and makes it even better. And sending her to gorgeous destinations like Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve creates an unbeatable vacation experience – on land and at sea.”

The ship will feature 2,270 cabins, 11 dining venues, six swimming pools and a waterfront promenade. Guests will be able to enjoy 98 hours of live entertainment per cruise.

MSC Seascape will debut in December 2022, sailing year-round from Miami, Florida, to the Caribbean. It will be the second MSC Cruises ship to launch this year, following MSC World Europa that will also debut in December.

The ship will travel across the Atlantic as part of its inaugural voyage, which departs from Civitavecchia in Rome, Italy, on 19 November 2022 and includes calls at Spain, Portugal and Bermuda on the way to New York City. The vessel will then be named during a ceremony at Manhattan Cruise Terminal on 5 December 2022.
