MSC Cruises has added fly-cruise sailings from Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to MSC Musica’s winter 2015-2016 itineraries.
The cruise line already offers guests the option of flying from the UK to MSC Musica’s homeport of Dubai in the UAE with Emirates, but this is the first time a cruise line will offer embarkations in Abu Dhabi.
Between December 2015 and March 2016, passengers take Etihad Airways flights from London Heathrow, Manchester and Dublin to enjoy weeklong cruises onboard the 2,550-passenger ship. In total, MSC Musica will offer 16 UAE sailings and call at Abu Dhabi; Khor Al Fakkan; Muscat and Khasab, Oman; and Dubai.
“Our Dubai, Emirates and Oman itinerary has proved to be immensely popular since it began in 2011 because the spectacular scenery, amazing modern cities and guaranteed sunshine are the perfect tonic for British guests wanting to escape the cold weather at home,” said Giles Hawke, MSC’s executive director UK and Ireland. “Being able to offer fly-cruise holidays from Dubai and Abu Dhabi demonstrates our commitment to the destination and our flexibility. By flying into Abu Dhabi, guests have the opportunity to make the most of the time in Dubai, which includes an overnight stay.”
Other flight options for MSC’s Dubai, Emirates and Oman sailings now include Emirates departures from London Gatwick and Glasgow in Scotland.
In winter 2016-2017, MSC will also offer Dubai and Abu Dhabi embarkations onboard the 3,274-guest MSC Fantasia. These itineraries will also include the first Bahrain call.
