Mystic Cruises is to implement the Adonis Maritime Suite to manage recruitment, crewing, payroll and crew self-service across its new fleet of expedition cruise ships.
Developed by global human resources systems provider Adonis, the Maritime Suite will enable Mystic Cruises to streamline human resources (HR) processes in its land-based corporate offices and on the new World Explorer, which was christened by French-Italian singer, songwriter and model Carla Bruni-Sarkozy in Portugal on 6 April.
The solution will also make it easier for the cruise line to control its multinational crew payroll systems and effectively manage crew turnarounds and timesheets.
“Mystic Cruises is focused on creating memorable experiences for our guests aboard our cruises, be they in the Antarctica or the Norwegian Fjords,” said Mario Ferreira, CEO of Mystic Cruises. “For that we need a highly skilled and motivated crew, which is only possible if they’re properly managed, and if they’re provided with the conditions and opportunities that make them want to develop a career in the cruise industry with our company. We evaluated different software packages and quickly realised that Adonis was the right partner for our organisation and mission.”
Mystic Cruises will also implement the Adonis system on World Voyager and World Navigator, which are expected to launch in 2020.
“We are honoured to partner with Mystic Cruises and look forward to providing the organisation with comprehensive HR support, allowing it to focus on making its tours of Antarctica such memorable experiences,” said Sigrid Kviteberg, director of Customer Services for Adonis. “Our partnership with Mystic is the most recent in a series of new contracts with expedition cruise lines, further underscoring the value of our Maritime HR Suite and confirming our leadership within this segment of the maritime industry.”
