New aqua park for Preziosa

The Doremi Castle Aqua Park on newbuild MSC Preziosa, will feature the longest waterslide to date for the cruise company.

At 120 metres, ‘Vertigo’ is the longest single rider body waterslide on the seas and will transport guests on a six-metre per second journey through twists and turns, on the way down. To add to the experience, a nine-metre transparent section on the 13-metre high slide extends beyond the side of the ship,  so passengers can experience views across the water.

Splashing and soaking elements in the Doremi Castle Aqua Park include a pathway of platforms with an array of water sprays, fountains, pistols and valves along with a water cannon, and a drenching bucket that fills drip by drip before tipping its contents over those below.

The Fantasia-class MSC Preziosa will be christened in Genoa, Italy, on 23 March 2013 and the city will be her first homeport.
