Celestyal Cruises’ new ship Celestyal Experience will enter service in March 2021, sailing three itineraries in the Mediterranean in her debut season.
The ship’s first sailing will be on 6 March 2021, with a seven-night ‘Three Continents’ itinerary calling at Greece, Turkey, Israel, Egypt and Cyprus. She will then sail on the seven-night ‘Idyllic Aegean’ itinerary from 3 April, which will visit several Greek ports including Athens, Rhodes and Santorini, as well as the Turkish port of Kusadasi.
Celestyal Experience will also operate an ‘Eclectic Aegean’ itinerary later on in the summer season, which will depart from the Greek city of Thessaloniki. The sailing will include an overnight stay in Istanbul, Turkey, and call at the Meteora Monasteries in Greece, as well as a visit to the site of ancient Troy.
The ship has recently undergone an extensive refurbishment and has capacity for 1,800 guests in 789 staterooms, 166 of which feature balconies, sea terraces or bridge-view verandas. These include Celestyal’s four new categories of Wellness Spa staterooms, which will include unlimited access to the ship’s 47,300-square-foot spa area and priority access to specialty dining. Also featured onboard the ship is the new Beach Club concept, an adults-only outdoor area featuring a jacuzzi, premium sunbeds and cabanas.
“This has been a challenging year for everyone,” said Chris Theophilides, Celestyal Cruises’ CEO. “However, we are extremely optimistic about the future of travel and, especially, of cruising. We are delighted with the addition of Celestyal Experience to our fleet. Celestyal Experience embodies Celestyal Cruises’ commitment to an intimate, authentically Greek experience onboard a contemporary, well-appointed, mid-sized cruise vessel. She will undoubtedly be instrumental in driving our continued growth.”
