Innovation Lounges is to open a new immersive space for vendors across the marine interiors industry to showcase their products to cruise executives, designers, builders, specifiers and others in Miami, Florida on 21 January 2021.
Spanning 600 square metres, the Innovation Lounge has been curated by marine interior design firm Tillberg Design of Sweden. The space comprises a range of rooms that replicate those typically found onboard a cruise ship, such as a reception area, retail area, bar and restaurant, suite, stateroom, bathroom, balcony, spa, and a pool and open deck.
Initially, 50 partners will exhibit sustainable, marine-grade products – such as textiles, floor coverings, artwork, lighting, deck equipment and anti-virus technology – in the Innovation Lounge. Cruise executives, architects, designers and other interested parties can book appointments to visit the Innovation Lounge and organise meetings with exhibitors.
“We are so excited to open in these difficult times,” said Susan Sadolin, CEO of Shores Global and founder of Innovation Lounges. “The response from industry has been incredible. We have found the pulse of the times.”
Innovation Lounges has also revealed plans to open a second exhibition space in Hamburg, Germany later this year.
“Given the interest and success of Miami, we are already working on the next lounge in Europe,” said Jens Hannemann, marketing director for Innovation Lounges. “Hamburg is a perfect place for us because there is another concentration of many hospitality companies and industries there. The opening in Europe is planned for autumn 2021.”
