Holland America has introduced a new international menu crafted by the line’s master chef Rudi Sodamin and expert chefs.
The 20-dish ‘Master Chef’s International Dinner’ featuring fare from six continents including Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, North and South America, will be offered in the main dining room once on each cruise. Passengers can choose from three-course or four-course meals, which include regional wine pairings from across the different cultures.
“The Master Chef's International Dinner is a special culinary celebration of cultures around the world,” said Richard Meadows, executive VP marketing, sales and guest programmes. “Each dish captures the essence of the region's cuisine with each course complementing the next, making for a truly exquisite dining experience for our guests.”
Signature dishes showcased on the menu include Scandinavian-style seafood and potato chowder, Lebanese lamb shank, Argentinean guiso soup, Bourbon-glazed beef with grilled portabella mushrooms, and tofu and vegetable korma. Desserts include New York-style cheesecake, Viennese Mohr im Hemd – a type of chocolate hazelnut pudding – along with kiwi and passion fruit pavlova.
The new dinner menu is the latest addition to the cruise line’s offering which includes a Le Cirque evening at the Pinnacle Grill.
