Viking Isabella is scheduled to operate on the Helsinki-Tallinn route from 6 May to 1 September 2013, doubling Viking Line’s departures from Helsinki and reintroducing the popular, entertainment-filled, 21-hour cruises to its service range.
“Viking Line wants carry out its customers’ wish of many years and is bringing back to Helsinki the popular 21-hour cruises by having Viking Isabella operate this route,” said Mikael Backman, CEO of Viking Line. “In addition to this, we will be able to offer more scheduled departures between Helsinki and Tallinn during the summer.”
The ferry, which currently operates on the Turku-Stockholm route, will provide two daily return journeys.. It will feature a range of restaurant services, such as the Gastropub and the Viking Buffet brunch, as well as the new, all-inclusive Viking Lounge.
Viking XPRS also operates on the route and together, the two vessels will provide eight daily departures, with a choice between scheduled routes, ferry and hotel packages, day cruises of various lengths to Tallinn -and shorter cruises.
Lauri Orpana, product manager of Viking Isabella added: “We will be able to offer our customers all that is required for comfort on this route, regardless of whether one travels on a three-hour scheduled service, a seven-hour conference cruise or, for instance, a 21-hour entertainment cruise.”
