Royal Caribbean International has announced the addition of Legend of the Seas and Vision of the Seas to its Europe 2013 deployment plan, bringing the number of Royal Caribbean ships in the region to nine, out of a total of 22 ships owned by the line.
The other ships whose presence in the region for the season has already been announced are UK-based Independence of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas and Brilliance of the Seas, Barcelona-based Liberty of the Seas and Serenade of the Seas, and Italy-based Navigator of the Seas and Splendour of the Seas. Altogether, these ships will conduct 276 sailings to 88 ports on 58 European itineraries.
“Royal Caribbean offers families and couples the best cruise ships to create or renew a Europe adventure of a lifetime,” said Betsy O’Rourke, senior vice president of marketing, Royal Caribbean International. “Nearly every ship will have undergone revitalisations and enhancements to offer vacationers the most innovative and modern fleet in Europe.”
Vision of the Seas will offer alternating seven-night Norwegian Fjords and Scandinavia & Russia itineraries from Copenhagen, Denmark in May and August, with the latter destinations also served by sailings from Stockholm in July. There will also be longer sailings of ten nights on Ultimate Scandinavia& Russia itineraries. Ten-night cruises will run from Copenhagen to the British Isles and there will be an Arctic Circle cruise as well. Legend of the Seas will divide its season between the homeports of Rome (Civitavecchia) and Venice.
For cruises on Liberty of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas, Legend of the Seas and Splendour of the Seas, guests will be able to choose their port of embarkation, following the full itinerary but in a different order.
