Amras Cruises introduced the first collection of European river cruises designed for exclusively for North American cruise passengers on 27 February.
The 2014 Christmas Markets on the Rhine and Christmas Markets on the Danube are being offered ahead of the company expanding its range of cruises to 16 customisable itineraries in 2015.
The new collection includes cruises on the Seine, Saone, Rhone, Moselle, Rhine, Main, and Danube Rivers.
“We recognise that the river cruise industry has become very cookie cutter and that there is definitely demand for a more customisable travel experience,” said Amras Cruises president and managing director Rudi Joham. “When travelling with us, our guests will have more opportunities to explore, either independently or part of an escorted group, or to combine multiple itineraries.”
Many of the journeys will be on Amadeus Silver, at 135 m the longest ship in the Amras fleet. Debuting in the spring of 2015, Amadeus Silver II – sister ship to the Amadeus Silver – will travel through Holland and Belgium, and down the Rhine as well as the Main and Danube rivers.
