Norwegian Cruise Line is to offer cruises to Alaska, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and Canada and New England in summer 2017.

“Guests sailing on Norwegian Cruise Line in Summer 2017 can explore the world through a variety of cruises to spectacular destinations, all while enjoying the freedom and flexibility that only a Norwegian cruise can offer,” said Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line’s president and COO. “Guests can feel free to cruise to the best of Bermuda and the Bahamas on four beautiful ships, including the recently refurbished Norwegian Gem, or experience the scenic beauty of Alaska on some of the youngest ships in the industry.”

Norwegian will have three ships based in Alaska in summer 2017. Sailing from Seattle, US, Norwegian Pearl and Norwegian Jewel will offer seven-day Glacier Bay and Sawyer Glacier itineraries respectively, while Norwegian Sun will sail seven-day Alaska cruises alternating between Vancouver, British Columbia and Seward, Alaska.

New for summer 2017, Norwegian will also offer three longer itineraries. In May, Norwegian Jewel will provide an eight-day Sawyer Glacier cruise from Vancouver to Seattle featuring calls in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Icy Strait Point, Alaska; Victoria, British Columbia; and a cruise to the Sawyer Glacier. The ship will also offer a ten-day ‘Ultimate Alaska’ voyage from Seattle to Vancouver in September. This starts with a cruise through the Inside Passage, which is followed by calls in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, and Sitka, Alaska; Prince Rupert, British Columbia; plus a cruise to Sawyer Glacier and Glacier Bay.

Guests looking for an extended Alaska experience can opt for a 14-day ‘Ultimate Alaska’ cruise from San Francisco to Vancouver on Norwegian Sun in May. Port calls will include Astoria, Oregon; Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, Sitka, Prince Rupert, Nanaimo, cruises through Glacier Bay, Hubbard Glacier Sawyer Glacier and the Inside Passage.

Elsewhere, the recently refurbished Norwegian Gem will sail seven-day ‘Bahamas and Florida’ cruises from New York between 29 April and 26 August. These family-friendly itineraries include visits to Orlando and the Beaches (Port Canaveral), Norwegian’s private island Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau, Bahamas.

Shorter Bahamas options will be offered by Norwegian Sky, which will sail year-round three- and four-day cruises to the Bahamas from Miami, US. Ports of call will include Nassau, Grand Bahama Island, and Great Stirrup Cay.

Meanwhile Norwegian Breakaway will sail seven-day cruises from New York to Bermuda between 23 April and 24 September and Norwegian Dawn will sail seven-day cruises from Boston to Bermuda between 5 May and 15 September. The ship will offer similar voyages on 20 and 27 October.

Canada and New England will also feature on Norwegian’s 2017 itineraries. Norwegian Gem will again offer two summer ‘Canada & New England’ roundtrips from New York in June, which call at Halifax, Nova Scotia; Saint John, New Brunswick; Bar Harbour and Portland, Maine. The ship will also sail alternating seven-day roundtrips from New York to Halifax, Saint John, Portland and Bar Harbour, or Boston, Massachusetts.

Sailing from Boston, Norwegian Dawn will offer two seven-day, one-way ‘Canada & New England’ cruises in September and October, which feature visits to Portland, Halifax, Charlottetown, Gaspésie and Saguenay (La Baie) and Quebec City. Norwegian Dawn will also offer two return seven-day cruises from Quebec City to Boston. These itineraries start with an overnight in Quebec City and include calls in Sydney and Halifax, Saint John, Bay of Fundy and Bar Harbor.
