Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Jewel is to undergo a bow-to-stern revitalisation before starting her second season from Australia in the autumn/winter 2018-2019 season.
Following her three-week dry dock in Singapore as part of the fleetwide Norwegian Edge refurbishment programme in October 2018, Norwegian Jewel will sail to Australian destinations like Melbourne, Cairns, Hobart. The ship will also head to places such as the Milford Sound, Wellington and Tauranga in New Zealand, and offer itineraries to the South Pacific and Southeast Asia. Another highlight will be a trans-Pacific voyage from Vancouver, Canada to Tokyo, Japan via Alaska and Russia.
“Norwegian Jewel’s Australia and New Zealand sailings have received a great deal of anticipation and excitement from guests both locally and internationally,” said Andy Stuart president and CEO of Norwegian Cruise Line. “The region is a bucket-list destination for many of our guests with a warm culture, lush lands, sandy beaches, action-packed adventure and more. We are thrilled to be returning to this dream destination with the iconic Norwegian Jewel looking as if she were a brand new ship.”
