Norwegian Cruise Line’s first China-bound vessel, Norwegian Joy, was floated out of her Meyer Werft dry dock in Papenburg, Germany on 4 March 2017.

The 168,800gt cruise ship, which has been constructed in Building Dock 2, is now berthed at Meyer Werft undergoing final work and tests.

At the end of March, the ship will be conveyed down the River Ems and complete sea trials before being officially handed over to Norwegian at the end of April. The vessel will then begin service from Shanghai, China in late June.
