Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Joy is to offer 28 food and beverage outlets serving Asian, European and American cuisine when she debuts in Shanghai, China next June.
Purpose-built for the Chinese market, Norwegian’s new Breakaway-Plus class vessel will offer the line’s flexible Freestyle Dining in complimentary restaurants and for a host of additional premium dining experiences that are available at nominal extra cost.
The Bake Shop will offer handmade baked goods from around the world, Neptune's seafood specialty restaurant will serve fresh seafood, American dining options include Cagney's Steakhouse and American Diner, and La Cucina and Le Bistro will provide Italian and French dishes respectively. Premium dining venue Food Republic allows guests to sample foods from destinations worldwide, including Japan and Peru.
Guests looking for Chinese cuisine with Korean and Japanese accents can head to the Savor and Taste restaurants, while those wanting fresh hand-pulled Chinese noodles and dim sum can visit Noodle Bar. Both Garden Café and traditional dining venue Manhattan Room will provide Chinese cuisine complemented by classic Western-style dishes.
Diners have the option of preparing their own meal at Sakura & Hibiscus or the Korean barbecue table, or watch a Japanese hibachi cooking performance at their table when they dine in Teppanyaki.
Norwegian Joy will also feature venues like The Grand Tea Room serving high-end loose leaf teas from China along with snacks, La Cave for wines and spirits, Prime Meridian for pre-dinner drinks, Mixx Bar for handcrafted cocktails, Spice H20 for frozen poolside cocktails and Atrium Bar for specialty coffees and teas.
