Norwegian Cruise Line has installed 32 new staterooms and renovated a range of other venues on its Hawaii-based vessel Pride of America.
As part of a US$30 million enhancement project, Norwegian has added four studio staterooms for single travelers featuring a full-size bed and a separate bathroom area, 22 suites, two Owner’s Suites, two Penthouse and two Deluxe Penthouse Suites.
“Pride of America offers a unique and extraordinary vacation to four of Hawai`i’s most popular islands and these new suites elevate the guest experience on this one-of-a-kind vessel to a whole new level,” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian’s CEO.
Accommodating up to four guests, the 566 sq ft Owner’s Suites feature a large bedroom, bathroom and a separate living area. The rooms can be connected to the adjacent Penthouse Suites – which include two deluxe suites – to cater for groups of up to ten people. All of the suite accommodation offers expansive balconies, ranging from 150 sq ft for Penthouse Suites up to 1,200 sq ft for the Owner’s Suites
Each suite guest will have access to a dedicated butler and concierge service, as well as a range of amenities including Tranquility mattresses from the Bliss Collection by Norwegian, Lavazza Espresso Makers, Elemis bath products, private dining and more.
During its 14-day drydock in Honolulu, Hawaii, the 2,186-passenger ship was fitted with the line’s signature Brazilian steakhouse Moderno Churrascaria, Cagney’s traditional steakhouse and ship-wide wireless internet connectivity. The line also added flat screen televisions in all staterooms and new directional signage, as well as updating the décor, fitness centre, gift shop and gallery areas.
Pride of America is the only US-flagged large cruise ship sailing a seven-day Hawaii itinerary departing from Honolulu every Saturday. Ports of call include Hilo and Kona in Hawaii, as well as overnights in Kahului, Maui and Nãwiliwili in Kauai. The ship also cruises past the Nãpali Coast.
