Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Viva has made its inaugural call to the British Virgin Islands with a visit to Tortola in the Caribbean.

A traditional plaque exchange ceremony took place onboard while the Prima-class ship was berthed at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park on the largest and most populous island of the British Virgin Islands.

The ceremony was attended by the ship’s captain Kim Karlsson, as well as representatives from the British Virgin Islands Ports Authority, Tortola Pier Park and local ship agent Island Shipping Trading. Kye Rymer, the Minister of Communication and Works, and Michele Paige, CEO of the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association, also attended.

Norwegian Viva will spend the winter season offering seven-day Caribbean itineraries with calls to Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. John’s, Antigua; Bridgetown, Barbados; Castries, St. Lucia; Phillipsburg, St Maarten and St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
