Oceania Cruises’ Insignia is to sail a 180-day Around the World voyage in January 2019, embarking passengers at three major US ports.
Departing New York, Miami and Los Angeles on 11, 14 and 30 January respectively, the 684-guest Insignia will sail more than 45,000 nautical miles across two oceans and 16 seas to visit 90 destinations in 36 countries.
Oceania Cruises’ new route will take guests to Hawaii and the South Pacific before heading to New Zealand and Australia, and then exploring Asia, the Holy Land and the Mediterranean. The ship will then sail to New England, Canada and Bermuda.
“Our exciting 2019 Around the World journey offers guests an expertly crafted route spanning the four corners of the globe, touching on nearly 100 captivating destinations and dozens of UNESCO World Heritage sites,” said Bob Binder, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises. “The added convenience of three departures, new for 2019, brings guests greater flexibility and can help simplify their travel plans.”
The itinerary features a total of 14 overnight stays in destinations such as Bali, Indonesia; Hong Kong, China; Yangon, Myanmar; and Luxor, Egypt. Guests can also enjoy a host of free exclusive shoreside events. Highlights include an authentic tea ceremony and Kabuki and ninja performances in Tokyo, Japan, and wine-tasting and a three-course dinner at an 18th-century family-owned wine estate in Bordeaux, France.
