Canada’s Port of Halifax is to welcome 200 vessel calls and around 300,000 cruise guests between 22 April and 6 November 2018.

10 of these cruise calls will be inaugural visits from vessels such as Norwegian Cruise Line’s Norwegian Bliss on 30 April 2018.

“It is a very exciting time for cruising in Halifax,” said Cathy McGrail, associate vice president of cruise, operations and corporate affairs at Halifax Port Authority. “Thanks to strong partnerships with the cruise lines, tour providers in Nova Scotia and tourism industry groups, we are looking at another very strong season.”

Highlights of the 2018 season include three visits from Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Magic on 17 and 22 September and 2 October.

There will also be a visit from Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2 on 5 October. The busiest day of the cruise season will be on 9 October, when the port will welcome over 11,000 cruise guests on five vessels.
